SiC detectors for high-energy radiation
German title: | SiC-Detektoren für hochenergetische Strahlung
Acronym: | SiCher | |
Duration: | 1st March 2024 - 31st August 2026
Description: | The aim of the project is to develop industry-oriented functional models of SiC detectors for measuring high-energy radiation, in particular UV and X-ray photons and electrons. The high radiation hardness of SiC should minimize degradation under the influence of radiation and thus significantly reduce the need for regular calibrations. In addition, the entire package is designed without the use of organic compounds, which increases the service life of the component.
