Description: | Low gain avalanche detectors for low penetration radiation in silicon. The goal is to develop design rules that allow the generation of flat n+p+p transitions. These flat n+p+p transitions will be developed, simulated and characterized. Thereby, the gain factor of an LGAD shall be predicted reliably. These LGADs are used in the detection of radiation with low penetration depth in silicon, e.g. UV photons, soft X-rays. | |
