NDUV Ammonia gas sensor
German title: | NDUV Ammoniak Gassensor
Acronym: | NH3SENS | |
Duration: | 1st January 2020 - 30th June 2022
Description: | The aim of the project is to develop an ammonia sensor based on the principle of non-dispersive UV spectroscopy (NDUV) to measure the ammonia concentration in the exhaust tract of a diesel engine. The sensor determines the absorption of UV light (~220nm) caused by ammonia in a gas cuvette. The use of a reference channel allows the temperature and brightness of the LED to be monitored, as well as the determination of cross-influences of other gases into the absorption path.
