Touch probe with greatly reduced probing force for determining the instrumented indentation hardness
German title: | Tastsystem mit stark reduzierter Antastkraft zur Bestimmung der instrumentierten Eindringhärte
Acronym: | TARZAN | |
Duration: | 1st May 2017 - 31st October 2019
Description: | The aim of the development was a miniaturized sensor for determining the instrumented indentation hardness. The system contains two independently operating force and displacement sensors, one of which is used primarily for force and one for displacement measurement. The measuring distances and the line of action of the measuring force lie on a straight line. This ensures that the Abbe comparator principle is maintained. Optionally, a diamond tip, carbide ball or robust ball can be used. Conformity to the relevant industry standards is maintained.
