After a break of almost two years, the Microsystems Technology Network Meeting will take place in Freiburg from May 18 to 19, 2022. The focus this year is on networking and exchange on important future trends and new fields of application with microsystems technology.
In Session 1 “Sensor Technology for Practical Applications” on May 18, 2022, Dr. Martin Schädel, Business Unit Manager MOEMs at CiS Research Institute, will present the topic: “Spectrally selective optical properties of infrared sensor elements”. The focus of his talk will be photonic crystals as optical filters for infrared emitters.
On May 19, 2022, Dr. Ingo Tobehn-Steinhäuser will report on “High-precision temperature diodes for the application range from 4 K to 500 K” in Session 12 “Calibration & Test Methods.” In his talk, he will present the development of silicon-based temperature diodes that can be used in the high-temperature range up to a maximum of 300°C with a single-point calibration.
The cluster conference will be flanked by a technical exhibition. The growth core High-Performance Sensor Systems (HIPS), represented by Dr. Olaf Brodersen, Senior Business Unit Manager MOEMs, will present current research results here. The Thuringian alliance of research institutions and companies aims to develop and jointly market novel, robust, highly integrated sensors based on a unique combination of silicon technology (Si) and ceramic multilayer technology (Cer). Here, the CiS Research Institute focuses on reliable contacting and joining of SiCer substrates.
