On his tour of the trade fair on 22.04.2024 as part of the Hannover Messe, Thuringian Minister President Bodo Ramelow and Christoph Eggers, Head of Division in the Thuringian State Chancellery, visited our exhibition at the LEG Thüringen joint stand in Hall 3, Stand D76. Dr. Klaus Ettrich, Head of the MEMS business unit, and Dr. Thomas Frank, Head of the MEMS department, explained the portfolio of the CiS Research Institute to the guests and demonstrated the latest research results. As a specialist in the development of high-quality, silicon-based microsensors and microsystems in the fields of MEMS and MOEMS, the CiS Forschungsinstitut is a development partner for medium-sized companies.
This year’s highlight is an electrically isolated incremental sensor based on a completely new technological concept. This innovation from the GalGIS project is suitable for applications that require extreme accuracy and have to meet high technical safety requirements, as is common in aviation and medical technology. Another market segment for these applications is optical encoders for monitoring or controlling linear or rotary movements, for example as feedback systems in servo and stepper motors of robots or milling machines. Companies have already expressed interest in this sensor development.
The first model of a sensitive sleeve with an integrated pressure sensor system made of silicon strain gauges for non-invasive pressure measurement in process pipes was also discussed. Once the development work in the NivLer project has been completed, it should be possible to detect exact changes in expansion in process pipes using this retrofittable pipe sleeve.
Until Friday, 26.04.2024 you can visit us in hall 3, booth D76. We look forward to your visit!
