The Thuringian Center for Start-ups and Entrepreneurship (ThEx) honored outstanding talents at the ThEx AWARD ceremony – The Thuringian Start-up Award 2023.
We are particularly pleased about the winning of the young start-up Healyan GmbH from Barchfeld Immelborn in the “Founding” category. Their brilliant ideas in the field of entrepreneurship convinced the jury.
The young entrepreneurs Philipp Caspari and Leon Yushin presented Strobes – innovative stroboscopic glasses that make light therapy to promote mental and neurological health comfortable and individually applicable. Strobes are suitable for everyday use and can also be worn as a visual aid or sun protection.
The successful implementation of this idea was realized in close cooperation with the CiS Research Institute, thus supporting the rapid market maturity of the product. The foundation for this cooperation was laid in May 2022. Healyan has already impressed the jury at the Thuringian start-up and founder competition “getstarted2gether”. This gave the young company the opportunity to utilize technical and entrepreneurial expertise in a business-related research institution, in this case the CiS Research Institute. The focus of the cooperation was on the compact implementation of the circuit, its integration into the spectacle frame and the development of a product ready for series production.
In presenting the award, the patron of the ThEx AWARD, Economics Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee, paid tribute to young entrepreneurship and emphasized the importance of the diverse funding instruments of the state of Thuringia, which support start-ups and founders from the initial idea to the first successful steps as a start-up.
We would like to congratulate Philipp Caspari and his colleagues at Healyan on this award and wish them continued success.
A total of eleven prizes with a total value of 71,000 euros were awarded at the ThEx AWARD 2023, divided into the categories “Founding”, “Taking off”, “Succession” and “Inspiring”, selected from 127 applications.
