The Institute of Micro- and Nanotechnologies at the Ilmenau University of Technology regularly hosts the IMN Colloquium, which presents ongoing research and promotes open exchange and discourse. On Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM, Prof. Thomas Ortlepp and Dr. Kevin Lauer will be speakers at the IMN Colloquium in Ilmenau.
In the talk “Competence in Silicon – sensor technology and solid state analytics” they will give an overview of our technical potential and present some selected development topics, such as transparent silicon photodiodes, low-gain avalanche photodiodes, complex MEMS multi-wafer technologies and contributions to system integration in quantum technology. In addition to more than 25 years of experience in industrial sensor research, the CiS Research Institute also offers a wide range of solid-state analysis methods. In order to understand, control and optimize innovative technologies, the use of nano and surface analytics is essential. Especially when quality control, troubleshooting or environmental issues arise. Analytical tools and methods will be presented and key performance indicators will be explained.
