On 8 February at 1:00 PM, Prof. Thomas Ortlepp will give an overview lecture on “Silicon Processing Techniques” at the “Beam Telescopes and Test Beams Workshop”. He will explain which types of silicon processing techniques exist and how they can be applied to the fabrication of silicon radiation detectors. The most important steps of processing a simple planar radiation detector will also be discussed and differences to conventional, industrial CMOS processes will be pointed out.
Already in its 9th edition, the workshop will be held online in the afternoons of 8-10 February 2021 and will cover topics related to test beams for detector studies in tracking detectors, calorimetry and beyond. The workshop appeals to both experts and newcomers from various fields.
