The 5th Industrial Innovation Dialogue highlights current research competencies of quantum technologies for the Thuringian economy. Mario Bähr from the CiS Research Institute will present diamonds as a cost-efficient quantum material and report on results from the research project DiaQuantFab. As a physical effect the optical excitation and detuning of defects in diamond is used, e.g. for magnetic field sensors. The consortium is composed along the process chain for this purpose and draws conclusions from the applications to questions of material production and processing.
Within the scope of the “Cross-Cluster-Week Thuringia 2020 – virtual networking, regional cooperation” the online seminar will take place in the morning of September 17th, 2020.
