Last Friday – two months after the ceremonial opening of the “German-Chinese MEMS Smart Sensor Institute” in Nanjing, China – a delegation consisting of members of the Nanjing Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone, Technology & Talents Bureau of Jiangning Development Zone and the Jiangsu Software Park visited the business location Erfurt Southeast.
After a formal meeting with a small exhibition in the rooms of the CiS Research Institute together with representatives from the Thuringian state government, the State Development Corporation (LEG) as well as industrial partners from China, insights into the clean rooms of X-FAB could be gained afterwards. Economic potentials as well as possibilities of future settlements and investments were discussed by the participants in the afternoon at the LEG.
During a guided tour of the city and a joint dinner, the foundation for new projects was laid in personal discussions.
