Prof. Thomas Ortlepp and Thomas Brock
With the retirement of the long-standing managing director, Dr Hans-Joachim Freitag, in the spring of this year, Prof. Dr Thomas Ortlepp took over the management of the CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH. The mathematics graduate is a proven expert in the field of microelectronics and sensor technology. His professional career took him from the Technical University of Ilmenau to the University of Twente in Holland and the University of Berkeley in California to CiS a few years ago. He also holds a chair at Yokohama University.
The supervisory board of CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH has now appointed Mr Thomas Brock as an additional managing director with effect from 1 August 2016 and has given him responsibility for the Marketing and Finance/Controlling departments.
The experienced business economist has a long career in various banks. Most recently, he held a management position in the corporate client business of a credit institution.
Prof. Dr. Ortlepp, responsible for Research, Development and Technology, and Mr. Brock will jointly manage the CiS Research Institute.
