- Powerful sensor concept and expertise of CiS enable optimised customised solutions for microcondensation and dew point temperature measurement
CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH announces the signing of a distribution agreement with ESPEC Corp. on microcondensation sensors for the Japanese market. With this agreement, CiS grants the exclusive right to market and sell customised microcondensation sensors in Japan.
The technology of these CiS micro sensors is based on miniaturised stray field capacitors with integrated temperature sensors on a silicon substrate. The condensation sensors enable the quantitative measurement of the condensed water mass as well as its temperature. Both signals are provided as a calibrated output signal.
The CiS Research Institute has been developing and manufacturing customised solutions in the fields of micro-electro-mechanical systems, micro-opto-electro-mechanical systems and silicon detectors since 1993. The focus is on reliability, stability, accuracy, lifetime and cost efficiency.
The many years of experience and proven technological competence in microsystems technology, e.g. for dew point sensors or highly stable pressure sensors, are used by world market leaders in their products.
As one of the largest manufacturers of climatic test chambers in the world, ESPEC offers a broad portfolio of products for reliability testing in research as well as high-tech instruments for the automotive industry, consumer electronics, information technologies and renewable energies. From small benchtop chambers to large instruments for testing solar panels or automotive parts, ESPEC also offers special solutions for extreme test requirements. Many customer-specific functions and demanding applications are only possible with specialised sensors. Solutions for adapting and optimising the condensation sensors used can now be made available to Japanese customers more quickly thanks to the agreed cooperation between CiS and ESPEC.
Japan is considered a “key country” and represents one of the leading economic nations in Asia. No other country invests as much in research and development as Japan. Japanese companies are among the pioneers in key future technologies such as solar cells, carbon fibres and batteries for electric vehicles or robotics. The demands of Japanese consumers and industrial customers are very high. Only those who can offer high-quality products and impeccable service will have long-term success in Japan.
“We are very pleased about the distribution agreement with ESPEC, a major market player in Japan. With its broad customer network and focus on basic and future technologies, ESPEC is ideally positioned to pass on the benefits of our existing as well as future products to customers in Japan,” comments Prof. Thomas Ortlepp, CEO of CiS.
