Constant monitoring of the condition of refrigerants in refrigeration systems is costly and uncomfortable for the personnel in charge.
Moisture and bubbles in the refrigeration circuit are uncertainty factors that affect not only the quality of food but also the function of the refrigeration machine itself. Based on special chip and assembly technologies from the CiS Research Institute, the ILK Institut für Luft- und Kältetechnik gGmbH, Dresden has developed a cost-effective multi-parameter system for continuous monitoring of humidity, bubble formation, temperature and filling level in refrigeration systems.
The special feature: For the first time, testing of these important parameters can be performed without interfering with the refrigerant system. By using
of existing research results and the skilful combination of tried-and-tested technology modules, the two partners succeeded in quickly transferring the idea to small-scale production, so that initial field tests have already been able to demonstrate its potential.
