A successful week at SPIE.Photonics West in San Francisco came to an end yesterday. The trade fair is an international event for solutions, components and system support for the optics and photonics industry
On 30th January 2024, SPIE Photonics West will start in San Francisco, one of the international events for solutions, components and system support for the optics and photonics industry. The CiS Forschungsinstitut will once again be exhibiting at the German Pavilion in Hall F at booth 4205-05 in the Moscone Center. We will also be represented with five contributions at the accompanying conferences, which begin on 27th January 2024
Healyan GmbH wins the ThEx AWARD 2023 in the “Start-ups” category with its innovative “Strobes” stroboscopic glasses. The successful implementation of this idea was realized in close cooperation with the CiS Research Institute and thus supported the rapid market maturity of the product. We would like to congratulate Philipp Caspari and his colleagues at Healyan on this award and wish them every success for the future
As part of the GREAT H2 final conference, the CiS Research Institute is presenting sensor developments for the industrial application of green hydrogen. In his pitch, Dr. Klaus Ettrich, Head of the MEMS Business Unit at CiS Research Institute, will explain sensor solutions for safe use along the entire value chain of “green hydrogen”. Demonstrators from corresponding research projects will be on display at the trade exhibition
From 13th to 16th November 2023, the COMPAMED, the world’s leading trade fair for the medical technology supply sector, will open its doors in Düsseldorf and we will be presenting applications of silicon-based sensor technology in medical technology at our booth H23-4 in hall 8A within the joint stand of the IVAM trade association.
As part of the COMPAMED HIGH-TECH Forum by IVAM, Dr. Martin Schädel, Business Unit Manager MOEMS, will present selected research and development results on the topic of “Silicon-based microsensors for medical and life science applications” on 13th November
The 10th MikroSystemTechnik Congress starts today. Dr Thomas Frank, head of the MEMS department at the CiS Research Institute, will be presenting selected results of research and development projects in various lecture and poster sessions in Dresden
As a member of the board of the sensor cluster detect (SensorikNet e.V.) and managing director of the CiS Research Institute for Microsensorics, Prof. Thomas Ortlepp will give a talk today in the session “Smart Home – Sensor Technology” at the symposium “Sensorik im Wandel”. The event is the first joint initiative of the IVAM Microtechnology Association and the Thuringian Sensor Cluster “detect”
On 9th November 2023, the CiS LABday will take place at the CiS Research Institute with a focus on “Piezoresistive Silicon Pressure Sensors”. Prof. Thomas Ortlepp and Dr. Klaus Ettrich will be the scientific directors. With practical content in the form of demonstrators, live demonstrations as well as vivid presentations, the CiS LABday conveys interesting facts about piezoresistive silicon pressure sensors
At the end of our 3-part hybrid workshop series, the topic of “Modelling in Microsystems Technology” was intensively examined on 26th September 2023. Representatives from science and industry discussed methods, software and the use of artificial intelligence for the simulation and design of silicon MEMS and MOEMS
Next week, on 26th September 2023, the CiS workshop “Modelling in Microsystems Engineering” will take place in Erfurt as a hybrid event. In microsystems technology, reliable simulation tools are a prerequisite for supporting the design of components and systems. The workshop will discuss mechanical and optical simulations as well as multidomain modelling, with a focus on silicon MEMS and MOEMS
