For the first time, CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH was represented as an exhibitor at SPIE Photonics West 2018 in San Francisco. As one of 70 German exhibitors in the German Pavilion in the North Hall of the Moscone Center, the CiS Research Institute demonstrated its expertise in the design as well as the manufacture and assembly of customised optical microsensors.
Based on 25 years of “competence in silicon”, the business-oriented research institute from Thuringia was able to present innovative solutions in the fields of customer chip design, multi-physical simulation, silicon wafer processing, assembly and interconnection technology, prototyping and technology transfer for industrialisation. Because SPIE Photonics West 2018 is considered the world’s largest annual event for photonics, lasers and biomedical optics, it provided the perfect setting to showcase current innovations and latest technologies to more than 1,300 exhibiting companies and 23,000 international attendees from the US and international community.
