This fall, our two full-day CiS workshops will focus on non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensors and a wide range of methods for the development and application of silicon sensors. Both events offer an exciting environment to present new research results, discuss applications and talk to experts from research and industry. The programs for both CiS workshops are available online. Registration for the individual workshops is possible at any time. Both workshops will take place as a hybrid event at the CiS Research Institute in Erfurt. The organizer is CiS e.V
The fourth edition of the CiS MOEMS workshop on NDIR will start on 23rd October 2024. The workshop will be introduced with the keynote “Gas sensors – innovations and applications” by Michael Meyer, an expert in the gas sensor community. The following two sessions are dedicated to the topics “New light sources & new sensors” and “Evaluation of components – for function and lifetime of sensors”.
On 6th November 2024, the CiS MEMS Workshop will look at new methods in the development and application of silicon sensors. Prof. Martin Golz from Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, a specialist in neuroinformatics and signal processing, will address the topic of “Artificial intelligence and sensors” in his keynote speech. This powerful combination enables value creation potential to be recognized and the digital transformation to continue. Prof. Schrag discusses the challenges, methods and perspectives of virtual prototyping of MEMS in her contribution.
Industry contributions for innovative sensor solutions in various sectors as well as topics of assembly and connection technology, characterization methods and material properties are further focal points of the workshop.
