v.l.n.r.: Andreas Krey (LEG Thüringen), Wirtschaftsminister Wolfgang Tiefensee, Dr. Klaus Ettrich, Thomas Brock (CiS Forschungsinstitut)
Since Monday we are at the joint booth of Thuringia, hosted by the Ministry of Economics and LEG Thüringen, at the Hannover Messe 2022. During the tour with the Thuringian Minister of Economics Wolfgang Tiefensee and Andreas Krey, Managing Director of LEG Thüringen, the CiS Research Institute presented innovative sensor technology for concentration measurement of gases and hydrogen. We were especially proud to present the AMA Innovation Award 2022 for the development of a technology platform for highly reliable NDIR gas sensor technology. A team of developers from the Thuringian companies Micro-Hybrid Electronic GmbH, CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH, 5microns GmbH and Siegert TFT Thinfilm Technology GmbH had just received the prestigious award at the beginning of May this year. This enables the measurement and analysis of gases such as CO2 even under extreme environmental conditions, for example in healthcare, aerospace, the environment and energy supply. The joint success also demonstrates the close cooperation between research and SMEs in Thuringia along the entire value chain from basic research to successful transfer to industry.
As a contribution to more sustainability and to securing future energy supply, the CiS Research Institute also deals with development trends on green energies and hydrogen. In different research projects sensors for the concentration measurement of hydrogen in storage systems, leakage determination or for moisture measurement in electrolysers are developed with partner companies.
Fort the last day interested visitors can meet us in hall 3 at booth H08 at the Hannover Messe today.
