As part of the transfer day 2019 of the TU Ilmenau, the CiS Research Institute was represented as an affiliated institute last week with two contributions.
During the innovation slam, Dr. Thomas Frank explained “Silicon strain sensors for stress analysis – a method for monitoring highly stressed and safety-relevant components” in a scientific lecture. At the information stand, visitors were informed about the CiS Research Institute and current developments from the MEMS business area – miniaturized silicon strain gauges for measuring the preload force on screw heads.
